Parent Ad Policies

Thank you for your interest in a parent ad. Please read the following carefully to ensure that your ad is included in the yearbook without delay.

Deadlines

Please check your email for a custom link to a form to upload your parent ad materials. You should receive the form link in your email after placing your order. If you are unable to find the link, please let us know at ads@harvardyearbook.com and we will be happy to help. Templates of parent ads are available here.

Alternatively, you may send a copy of your receipt along with hardcopy materials (paper sketch and/or CD) to:

Submission Guidelines

You may opt to create your own design instead of choosing from our templates. On a plain sheet of paper, clearly write your message and a rough sketch of your layout. Alternatively, you may design a layout on software such as Word, PowerPoint, or Adobe Photoshop. Our design team will replicate your sketch. If no sketch is submitted, the staff will create a layout using the text and photos provided.

Also, please ensure that your digital photos (if you are submitting by CD or email) are of high quality. A good guideline to follow is that files must be at least 300 DPI or 1 MB. If you plan on sending a hardcopy, there is no need to cut your photographs; if you indicate which portion of the photograph you would like to include, our staff can crop the photograph to that specification. Only original pictures (no photo copies or ink jet images) can be accepted. Your original photos can be returned to you AFTER publication, as long as you provide a self-addressed and stamped envelope, and each image has a return label on the back of the photograph with name and address written clearly.

Please understand that layout cannot guarantee placement location of your ad.

Proofing, Late, and Cancellation Policies

Please read the policies for our parent ads carefully. By ordering a Parent Ad, you agree that:

  • You may view proofs of the design, and that you can be contacted using the information provided in this form. You understand that if Harvard Yearbook Publications is unable to contact you, they are not liable for unsatisfactory ads. You may request up to two rounds of editing and proofing, and all request for design changes must be made before February 15th.

  • You understand that materials received after the deadline will be included only on a case-by-case basis, and may be rejected according to space limitations. Furthermore, you will be subject to a late fee.

  • You understand that any ad cancellations must be made before December 18th, 2023 11:59PM (no exceptions).
